KaLoco Live Performance
Intimate and energetic live performances for all types of venue and event, from gentle cafe music to full-on festival dance events.
KaLoco can perform as a four, five or six-piece band, depending on requirements and availability.
Our core instrumental line-up consists of accordion, guitar, bass, vocals and concertina; the addition of clarinet and percussion completes the full line-up.
We can provide our own PA systems for any size event, including battery-powered systems for outdoor performances.

Private Parties, Weddings and Celebrations
Bring your private events to life with KaLoco's unique blend of world folk fusion music, perfect for parties and social gatherings.
For weddings, we provide memorable tailored folk music performances with a diverse mix of global tunes and lively rhythms to get your guests up and dancing with joy!
We can also provide a dance caller to facilitate organised group dancing in a ceilidh style, using music and dance from the British Isles and across the world.

Education & Schools
Several of KaLoco's band members are also PGCE-trained, enhanced DBS-checked music teachers working privately and in schools, with over 20 years experience of teaching music across a wide range of settings.
KaLoco is available to provide interactive music and/or dance workshops or performances in schools, with the intention of re-establishing multicultural community folk dance traditions within young people's educations.
KaLoco works with partner organisations to achieve these aims, including Movema CIC.

Festival Appearances
Dynamic sets for festivals that showcase a rich variety of international folk styles and driving rhythms that entice audiences to dance and groove.

World Ceilidh and Traditional Dance Events
Energetic live music for ceilidh-style dances featuring traditional world folk tunes and expert dance calling to get everyone on their feet.
Sets can be devised for community maypole and stick dance events.

KaLoco CIC
KaLoco CIC is a Community Interest Company, a non-profit making organisation dedicated to working in community settings to bring multicultural music and dance to understand-represented groups in society, such as refugees, asylum seekers and school children in areas of social deprivation.

All prices include our powerful modern PA system. We also give you peace of mind with full public liability insurance.

Who Are We?

Amanda
Accordion & Vocals
Amanda is a hugely talented singer, accordionist and multi-instrumentalist, bringing a wonderful flow and vibrancy to KaLoco's performances.
Amanda is also a music teacher, song writer and composer.

Mark
Guitar & Vocals
Mark is a skilled and versatile guitarist, singer and multi-instrumentalist with many years experience performing solo and with bands, writing and producing songs, and teaching music.

Becky
Bass guitar
Becky plays bass and keyboards, and brings the solid earthy deep-end to KaLoco's groovy sound.
Becky is also a visual artist, creating vibrant designs and artwork for KaLoco logos, banners and other publicity materials.

Willy
Concertina
Willy has been performing in bands since the 1960's, and brings a lifetime of rich and diverse musical experience to KaLoco's unique sound.
Willy is also a master flute maker of international renown.

Rosa
Clarinet
Rosa is a hugely talented woodwind player, pianist and singer, and brings a youthful vibrancy to the fabulous KaLoco sound.
Rosa is a student of orchestral woodwind at Guildhall Conservatoire in London.
